SUST Honors Dr. Wahiduzzaman as Researcher of the Year
Professor Dr. Wahiduzzaman from the Department of Food Engineering and Tea Technology has been recognized as the Researcher of the Year by the School of Applied Sciences and Technology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
The announcement was made on Tuesday (December 17) at the virtual classroom in the IICT Building of the university. The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Reza Selim, Dean of the School of Applied Sciences and Technology. SUST's Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Sajedul Karim and Director of the Research Center, Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, were present as special guests.
Professor Dr. Sajedul Karim handed over the Researcher of the Year certificate to Professor Wahiduzzaman during the ceremony.
Dean Dr. Reza Selim explained, "To encourage faculty members and recognize their contributions to research, we have introduced the Researcher of the Year award for the first time. Among five applicants, Professor Wahiduzzaman was selected with an impressive score of 267.087. The award is based on several criteria, including research publications, presentations, citations, and supervision over the last three years."
Expressing his gratitude, Professor Dr. Wahiduzzaman said, "The authorities selected me after careful evaluation, and I am truly delighted. Receiving the Vice-Chancellor Award in 2018 inspired me to focus more on research. It brings me joy to contribute to my university."
